MRT Putrajaya Line

MRT Sungai Buloh – Kajang (SBK) Line is one of the lines for Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT). KVMRT is a mass transit service offered in Klang Valley area in Malaysia.

History

In 2010, the Malaysian government has given approval for Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) system.

In 2016, the first MRT Line has been operational, namely Sungai Buloh – Kajang (SBK) Line.

Three Lines are proposed for MRT.

  1. Sungai Buloh – Kajang (SBK)
  2. Sungai Buloh – Serdang – Putrajaya (SSP)
  3. Circle Line

MRT SSP Line is the second MRT line to be built in Klang Valley. The line will is 52.2 km long while 38.7km is the elevated rail while 13.5 is underground. About 529,000 passengers are estimated to utilize the line.

The CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co. Ltd. (CRRC) trains used in the MRT Putrajaya Line are designed to be energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. The trains are equipped with air-conditioning systems that use eco-friendly refrigerants and LED lighting systems that consume less energy. The trains also have regenerative braking systems that convert the kinetic energy generated during braking into electrical energy that can be used to power other parts of the train.

The trains are designed to be spacious and comfortable for passengers. They have wide doors that allow for easy boarding and alighting of passengers. The trains also have CCTV cameras installed for security purposes.

CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. (CRRC) is a Chinese rolling stock manufacturer and a division of the CRRC. The company’s roots date back to the establishment of the Changchun Car Company in 1954. The company’s management system is in line with international standards, took the lead achieved the certificates of IRIS, ISO9001 quality system, ISO14001 environmental management system, OHSMS occupational safety and health management system and DIN6700 quality system.
