Johor Bahru – Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) is a planned rapid transit rail connection between Johor Bahru and Singapore. Unlike the existing KTM Intercity line connecting with Woodlands, Singapore, RTS line is planned to handle high-volume local transit.

When RTS is completed, it will be the second rail link between Malaysia and Singapore as the first one is KTM Intercity’s link between Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Woodlands, Singapore.

History

2018: Prasarana Malaysia Berhad and SMRT Corp Ltd have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up a joint-venture (JV) company as the operating company for the Johor Bahru – Singapore Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link) today.
